The Mr. is 1 year older
It was a super busy weekend at our house. We celebrated Scott's Birthday Saturday! Bella had a been wanting to buy dad flowers and that morning we went to the grocery store and bought what ever flower she thought he might love. Lucky for me she choose the crazy daisy bouquet. And while we were there she also thought she should get him a small toy car, and donuts. But she was so funny! While we were seeing what they had for sweets, she ask "dad cant have sugar, Do these have sugar in them?" I laughed so hard. And said Yep they do, but he can have them on his special day. She looks out for her dad.
At noon he had wanted to go down to the green way to the bike shop to see these bikes that were on a tour. I think they had been traveling thru many states. sorry not to sure on that. Scott's parents and sister + 2 corgi's met us down there. But there visit was short so we went home to have Scott's birthday treat i made him. Well since im not for the traditional birthday cake. I made his favorite smitten kitchen choc chip cookies and sandwiched them between vanilla bean ice cream. MMMMMmmmmmm they were so good!
And for dinner we made homemade pizza on the grill. I think we had two neighbors walk by and asked to join us.
Sunday we went bowling with a group of friends and there kids. Groupon had a special awhile back and we bought deal on there. Got to love groupon! After that we all went to the rainbow park and let the kids get rid of there energy and all catch up.
It was great to spend time with him this weekend since he has been gone all week working and we are used to see him a whole lot more. It is definitely a adjustment period for us.
