Paper Chain has Come to a end.......

The paper chain is finished and the kids are excited to have it be Christmas morning.  Bella made up a fireplace in her room with her tree decorated next to it and her american girl doll sitting by the fire. Since our home doesn't have a fireplace she was worried about santa getting in so she thought that would be great idea to use henry's cardboard blocks. I love the magic of kids imagination.

The kids are off for winter break and so I'm sure our days will be filled with kids doing crafts and saying i'm bored multiple times a day.  They wouldn't be kids if that was the case. They have a few days on the calendar at Grandma and Grandmpa's house, and they also have a sleep over planned for the girls at our friends house before they return back to school.

We have been enjoying watching Christmas specials on tv each night after dinner while eating popcorn before bed. They love the classics, plus the great light fight, and even the great british bake  show. You can't have enough christmas tv variety to watch!!!! It's kinda sad when they are gone and all the blah tv shows return.

I have the menu and weekly groceries all planned out so between the 3 parties we have this week i think i will be good to go!  It's a lot of work planning out all that and making sure you have Kate's gluten free food for each party we are going to and that she will not feel left out. Christmas with my brother at grandma's we are both bringing the same things so we will have the gluten option and the non gluten option. But then we are heading to Scott's Mom's side after for buffet style dinner and that is the one i fear because i will be bringing her food and there will most likely be something she wants and can't have. That usually leads to her leaving in a major melt down and fit. Then the last party is at our house for Scott's immediate family. When it's at your own home it makes it so much easier because there is something for her at all times.  Going through the Holiday with a food restricted diet is challenging and some people get it and some don't. It is not a small task and having a good support team around you is key.

I hope everyone has a very merry christmas
