Christmas is up and emotions are high!
I am currently escaping reality right now!!!! My girls are home from school , i believe its end of the quarter but to be honest i don't know! They have so many random days off i stopped trying to keep up. Henry is going through the terrible 3's...... he has started early and it's fierce. It's one melt down after another every few minutes. Im exhausted and i get excited about nap time, just so i can sit on the couch and do nothing! He is doing amazing at going to bed and nap time again. I am thrilled about that now we just need to figure out the rest!!!!! Is that possible???? Here is some examples of his craziness of course i don't take pictures of him during his meltdown but these are of his wild side.
Our christmas tree was up the day after Thanksgiving. I asked to put it up on Thanksgiving and Scott said NO WAY! We didn't have a big gathering over so i didn't see why no but he was not going to and i couldn't reach it in the garage.
The kids and him set the tree up before i woke up that day and we slowly decorated the tree through the day. We first had to figure out how to get some of the pre lite lights to work again. Every other strand was not working! The neighbor borrowed us the light fixer gadget and we got 2 out of the three strands back to working so that is a semi win. I bought a red garland ribbon thing to put on and the kids requested on the ornaments that we have collected through the years to be put on the tree. Henry wanted all the ornaments to be placed up high and he rearranged the stuff that was put on the tree multiple times a day since. We also got the inflatable snowman that is holding a sign that says BRRR and he shakes. It was cute and they all agreed on it. I would say the house is decorated enough for this year, we switched up a few things then we normally do and didn't put up all the stuff. As of right now baby jesus is missing from my plastic nativity scene. It will be a Christmas Miracle when we find him!!!
Christmas shopping has not really started. I bought two for family and made 4 for friends and bought one for henry. But as for my immediate family i have made a list and put it in the amazon cart but have not hit buy.... Bella has come up with a new she saw on pinterest and we all agreed on it.
Something to read, something to wear, something you want, something to give, and i added something homemade. So that is what each kid is getting and we will all decide on the something to give as a family. I love when kids don't ask for items and items and they understand what Christmas really means. Kate told me in the car on the way to school the other day that she knows what the season really means and i was like what? She said it's about jesus's birth and we are lucky to have him. It was cute because it came out of no where.
Today we are going over to a friends how to sled in there backyard because they actual has a hill. Yay!!! Kid time for them and mom time for the mom's.
Here are some pictures from the past week or so.
