A book worth reading
Last fall when i went to women of faith conference i heard a speaker named Angie Smith. It wasn't her name that made me love her but she story, strength, and her passion. She wrote a book called I will Carry You. Well it was finally available at the library. So I checked it out and read it in like 4 hours. If you don't know who she is, she is married to Todd smith from Selah. This book she talks about being a mother, and the bumps in the road that makes you dig deep into your faith. She talks about her miscarriage, and the joys of her set of twins {Ellie & Abby}, and Sarah Katherine. And then she receives news she is pregnant again with her 4th daughter, but finds out that the baby doesn't have everything to survive. The choices they had to make and what got her thru this time. She also talks about the story of Martha & Mary and how that gave her strength during the low times in the grieving process. This little passage really stuck out to me while i was reading this book. "The most we can do is put our hands on the stone and accept what happens next with the grace that says circumstances will define neither gods love for us nor our love for god." I think that is something we all need a reminder of when days are not going our way, or we feel we been dealt a bad hand, or received bad news.
I would recommend you go check it out at the library! She is one amazing women that I'm sure has helped a lot of moms out there that have gone thru the same thing. Here is her blog if your interested more about who she is and her journey.
