Blessings Happen.....
Well a week ago i got a email saying that someone nominated our family for our church adopt a family for the holiday. First of all I'm in awe that someone would take the time to write about us. There are so many other families out there that need more help then us. We have been able to get thru the tough times, and god has opened a few doors for us when we needed it the most. I'm not sure who wrote about us, but i will never forget the gesture. Then we received a message that a family wrote to the church looking to adopt a family with two small kids, just like there family. Appartenly the emails were sent close to the same time. The lady said it was gods work, because all of the people have been adopted. And last night the lady named Beckie called to see how we are and wanted me to send a needs and wants list for our family. Such a sweet lady, i cant say that enough. She even wanted to know if i wanted hand me down clothes from her kids. Her two kids just turned 3 and 5. I told her she is able to show our kids the true meaning of giving to people. Actions speak louder then words. I knew this Christmas was going to be special. I was beginning to wonder what we are going to do when Scott's unemployment ends at the end of the month. This is a sign that we are going to be ok. Not by the gifts but by the genuine love of complete strangers.
I LOVE to hear stories like this! It's so great to know that beyond the icky news stories, and facebook posts that just try to bring you down there are still so many great and loving people! I'm a true believer that everything happens for a reason and with you and Scotts attitude and love for life great things will come! Please let us know if you EVER need anything!
ReplyDeleteOur Lord said when we give He gives back to us only in greater amounts. You give of your time and love and He sees your loving heart. Those who bless your family in turn will be blessed. It is wonderful to see how God cares for us. twyla
