when bad things happen to good people

It has been a crazy emotional last few days. Last Wednesday we adopted the most beautiful sweet mannered dog. And we began having so much fun with her the moment we brought her home. We went for walks around como lake, road in the back of scotts wagon and watched everyone around us, met a lot of dog friends in the neighborhood, was loved on by two little girls, and learned to run with bike. Unfortunately while on a walk you managed to get out of your collar and run because that was what you did when you didn't have a home. But we live in a busy neighborhood where loose dogs aren't a good idea. We searched high and low for you and then i got the phone call that someone found you and it was great to be able to breath knowing you were coming home. Bella was so upset that you ran off and was looking hard for you. But that phone call didn't end well they said she was hit by a car and the car took off. Let me tell you those words hit me hard, I lOVED that dog, and for some reason she picked me as her alpha. So i got to where they were and she was just as calm as she is when we are home. But her legs and underside was a different story. We rushed to the vet they called and they would not be able to car for her because of how bad she was and they didn't provide over nite, so we went to our vet that we had used in the past. They looked at her and gave her meds for the pain, and we waited in the lobby for the results. We were in a very packed lobby with many other very sad people. We seemed to be the nite for dogs being very badly hurt. Well they return with the results and they were just not that good she would have to have sign graphing to help close off the injuries and not sure about what they could do with her foot. many surgies and everyday trips to the doctor for re bandaging and that was with not having a xray yet to look at the organs inside. So we had to make the decision that we made 2 years ago with our dog that was paralyzed, we let god take her to rest. That was so hard and the funny thing it just got worse we brought her home to bring up to bury with our dog lucy and the lady who stopped and helped abby sit on the grass till the cops came is worried about getting rabies from touching her because she had a cut on her hand and she has a immune problems. And we were just going to take her in to get her shot because the shelter told us to get it done in 14 days. So after she has called and bugged us and the cops about this they come to our house demanding to release her to them to take to the u of m. Now we don't get her back and she gets cremated with a bunch of different animals. They were the most unloving and rude people i have meet in a long time. They even threw her in a garbage bag in front of us and asked us for something to tie her with. Sorry evil thoughts are running thru my head. While arguing with us they said you only had her a few weeks and your not even attached and make this less difficult. So after all that we are going to be a family that doest get a dog again we seem to have such bad luck with them and love them so much at the same time. I wish everyone was able to meet my sweet abby who was a blessing in our lives.
