Road Tripping to Walt Disney World
Our trip to Disney was fantastic.... I'm still in awe of how well it went. I do have to say overall the worst thing that happened on this trip is that i left my battery and charger to my new canon powershot camera behind and they said they didn't see it. But that is replaceable i guess.
We woke the girls up at 4:00 am Friday March 6th. They were like it's morning time? But after luring them out of there beds with a giant present they moved along quickly. I put a giant mickey balloon in a box and wrapped it up and made a sign for them to read.
They read it and held the balloon and they honestly didn't believe us.... I was no really get in the car we have it packed and it's time to hit the road. Then Bella says"car?" Yep! But i figured she say that.. That is the whole reason we didn't say it to them in the first place. Didn't want her to stress about riding in the car or is it time to go yet? questions.
Sorry I tried to add a video but i coulnt get it to upload. :(
Well it back fired a bit.. we stopped at 5 gas stations before leaving mn. Bella stomach was all over the map. My sweet lil girl doesn't change fast and we set her off a bit with the quick change. By the time we hit Iowa she was doing way better. I have to admit i was getting nervous on the outcome at first. We made great time and they were having fun and only asked are we there yet question once.
We spent the first night in Chattanooga. We rolled into a hotel around midnight and slept for about 5 hours. Then we were up and on the road again. We really wanted to make it to Disney by Saturday night so we stay at the place we were going to all week. I think the scariest thing that happened along the way was Kentucky they got hit with a bunch of snow a few days prior and they don't remove snow like Minnesotans do. You be driving along and all of sudden a huge chunk of snow and ice was there and it seem to happen when your next to a semi truck. Lets just say that kept us awake out of fear. And for future times on family road trips don't bother packing food because the gas station food sucks your family in. We spent so much money on gas station food, way more then gas to put in the car. I personally don't enjoy station food but i did buy red bull which is not my normal drink by any means. We also ate a Waffle house. Cheesy grits from there are terrible and salty. You get what you pay for!!! :)
We arrived to Disney World Saturday around 3. It took us awhile to get into our hotel section because there was a really bad accident right in front of the hotel. Someone got t boned! We stayed at the Disney All Star Music Hotel. It was super fun and the girls sure enjoyed looking at all the giant musical stuff they placed around the hotel. I have to say Disney sure makes it easy on you. We got the package deal that includes our hotel, food, tickets and they put everything on a magic band you wear on your wrist. You can link a card up to the band so when you purchase items at the stores it goes on there. I opted not to because your mindlessly spending and you would regret that big time! Your magic band opens up your hotel room and when you go out to eat they scan your band and it deducts it from your meal plan it made it super easy. Oh and it also works if they take your picture at the park it links it back to your account. The girls sure enjoyed having the freedom of opening up the room door. They purposely opened and closed it they thought it was so cool. For dinner we went to Bob Evans because nothing from the hotel cafeteria sounded good we though we would do a sit down restaurant that is close by. It was actually good i thought it was going to be like perkins but it was way better. Since we didn't plan on going into the magic kingdom that day we unpacked and walked around the hotel and even checked out the nightly movie in the pool that was going on at dark. So many things to do at the hotel if your not going to the kingdom.
