Magic Kingdom Day 1

We tried to wake up early to get on the bus to go to the Magic Kingdom but it didn't happened.  Day light savings and traveling threw us back. We actually didn't realize the clock was off till day three.  oh well we weren't on any real schedule!!!!  Scott was up at the crack of dawn walking the property and found a cool hotel next to us that he had to show us.  Maybe some time we will stay there!!

The bus comes to the hotel every 20 min. to bring you to the parks, and from there you ride the bus for another 15-20 min. till you arrive at the magic kingdom. We choose to only go to the magic kingdom this trip so the girls can see everything.

As soon as we walk into the park Snow white was there signing autographs so they got there books out and took pictures with her. Bella played it cool for a bit and then really enjoyed it. She was border line past the super magical age i think. She likes to over analyze situations and figure stuff out.

They thought the castle was way bigger then they imagined.  It was cute to watch them!  We booked it to starbucks and waited in the super long line because we missed real coffee. It was well worth the wait.  I don't think we could have conquered the park with out a super large iced coffee.

We planned to visit each section of the park each day. We started out in fantasyland.  Today on our fast passes we had small world, peter pan flights, and to meet Cinderella and rapunzel.  And the rest was all a bonus!

small world ride

kate was obsessed with the balloons. daily asking for one!

The girls had one goal and one goal only since telling them they can buy ears at Disney.  We stopped at every shop and i kept encouraging them to wait and decide in a little bit because each place had different selection. but they both picked the same ones. I also have them $50 gift cards each to spend and that way we stayed on budget with disney souvenirs.

After we finished It's a small world ride we headed over to Be our Guest for Lunch. Let me say Disney just recently started doing reservations for the quick serve here and i was so glad they did because i couldn't get in for the dinner spot. I waited on hold a few weeks before we left to get a spot on the first day they started doing lunch reservations. It paid off because Bella loves the Beauty and the Beast. I have to say this place was beautiful inside. You walk in and tell them what you like to order they take it off your magic band food plan and they tell you to find a seat anyway in the place. The craziest thing all of sudden a lady with a glass moving tray shows up and brings you your food. I was like how did you know where we were? Disney magic was her answer!!! It had to be something in our magic bands!!!!! Scott ordered the Gray stuff.... It's delious!  It's a choc. cupcake in case your wondering.

After lunch we finished up our fast passes and then went back to the bus depot and rode the bus to the animal kingdom. We went a bit early so we could check out the hotel.  I have to say this place is just amazing. It's crazy how they can make the hotel smell and feel like what it would be like in africa.  They had drummers playing and balcony with rocking chairs to watch all the animals. The kids played on the park area by the pool and i scaled the way to take pictures of the giraffes.

We had dinner reservations at Boma's Buffet. It turned out we were the family of the night. We were the first to be seated and they sang and danced for us as we entered the restaurant. Bella and I were red and embarrassed. Scott and Kate really enjoyed the experience!!!! They even gave us the family of the night award paper to keep. They sure know how to make you feel special. The food was all different and amazing. I told the kids they have to try stuff they never tried before and they did. I did too, i feel in love with carrot ginger soup. I think i had three bowls..... There meat selection was very yummy and i'm sorry i don't remember what it was called.

my soup... mmmm so good

After dinner we headed back to the magic kingdom and rode a few more rides while the fireworks were going on and the lines were down. Kate conquered her fear of roller coasters today. She went on Barn Stormer junior roller coaster. I'm not going to say she had her eyes open but she got off and said she had fun. We also went for the seven dwarf mine ride which is also a roller coaster. She didn't puke or hate it. That's a win win....The crowds were high due to spring break time of year.
We caught the light parade at the end of the night and headed back to the hotel for day 2.

I have to say we hit the park hard that day and some of us might have fallen asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel!

Come back and check out day two of the magic kingdom!
