Snow Daze

The snow storm that they were telling us about finally arrived.  I kinda thought all that talk will lead to like 2 inches of snow instead. The weather people have been wrong before!  I think the snow storm worked out good for us this week, since Scott is off for the week and that meant he didn't have to drive and work in this terrible yucky weather.  Plus  i got help clearing the driveway yesterday! Some how the snow always arrives when he is gone at work.  That was a great work out....... It was so heavy! It rained the night before and then it snowed like 4 or so inches on top of it.

Since we haven't really had snow this year, we have not got our normal amount of snowman making or snowball fights in.  So we all dressed up and headed outside to play in the wet snow.  Kate is not much for playing outside, so after about 15 or 20 minutes she headed back inside. Which drives Bella crazy, she loves being outside in the snow and cant ever talk Kate into going outside to play with her.  But we did manage to make a couple snowman.

I saw the idea on Pinterest. The snowman doing a headstand!  I finally was able to make it, thanks to the wet snow storm.
The funniest thing happened when i let Rosie our dog to go outside to the bathroom, she ran out barking and her fur was standing straight up. She was scared of our big snowman.  Silly dog.  Then she got over her fear and ate our carrot noses. Oh well, it's a healthy snack for her.....
And by the afternoon they seemed to melt down a little. It doesn't help when it rains and all the snow from the trees keep dropping massive snow plops down on them. Oh well, it was a lot of fun. Nothing like a snow day with the whole family.

I just wish Scott and I felt better. We seemed to have come down with a little cold. And Scott got the worse of it. He lost his voice and sounds terrible.  Hopefully he feels better soon.  Women we know how men are when they are sick. The world is coming to a end!

Our pretty trees covered in a layer of snow!
