House List

Ok i was on pinterest and reading some blogs and somehow my pen and paper appeared and i began writing down a list of things that we need to replace and change in our home. We have lived here for 8 years and really have not made any home improvements since moving in. It was a flip home so most everything was done, or good enough for the time being. There are many things that are not my style but they are doing there purpose and i said I will change them when funds and time are available. When we moved in we knew we needed all new windows and every year we say yep we will begin slowly changing them out. But we have yet to do that! I love making a list and seeing a visual of what you want to do. I have notebooks of list and task and it makes me feel less overwhelmed. It's not like by me writing them down it is fixing the problem but it way of me being able to communicate what i want.

Here is my list in no certain order,some are big ones and some are things that i really want to see happen and my husband may or may not be on board with yet but he will!!!  :)

1. Replace all the windows- all have tape on the cracks
2. New front door- leaks
3. New Porch door-leaks
4. Remove the tiny window in the play area by the porch-pointless tiny window
5. Total bathroom gut-tub, flooring, tile, sink, toilet, vent
6. Scrape popcorn ceiling-a few rooms have it and they need to go
7. fix the broken up sidewalk-from putting salt down it falling apart
8. instal the garage doors proper- just like it says! :)
9. close up the holes in the garage walls that go to the outdoors
10. replace front door exterior light-doesnt work 
11. replace the bedroom deck door-it's corroded 
12. repaint the back area-its a weird color
13. Remove the built in cabinets in the back area for something that is more functional
14. Paint the kitchen cabinets-hubby is totally against it! I'm thinking white :)
15. New living room curtains-there still the ones that came with the home
16. Add a door to the back yard from the back area
17. Replace the kitchen appliances- there acting up
18. New Shed- it's falling over
19. Repaint the spot our old wall ac was in our bedroom
20. Replace the carpet on the stairs and in my bedroom
21. Change out the window trim in the whole house- some are this plastic like trim and some are wood -weird! and paint it white 
22. Replace the exterior siding- it's beginning to rot
23. Replace the door going into the garage with a actual exterior door-it's so drafty!
24. make a front patio area with a small fence

Our home is still functional and very livable but i think it's time we begin to put money in our home so we are not having to do a much of improvements all at once. Being home all day i sit and dream of projects i want to do but the cost, ability, and tools i need are not always available. Im thinking we are going to be starting a % of money from each paycheck to go to home remodeling budget.

Are you making a list of things you want to change up in your home? I think everyone has a mental list of changes they want to make. I hope yours is not as long as mine. To be honest my list could go a little longer but i was being modest!
