Summer Break Week 8
This has been a fun and super busy week! But we did so many fun stuff that i'm ok with that....
Monday Grandma was down to watch the kids so i could go to the dentist later that day. So after we got the kids to school we went out to do some shopping. Well Cellphone shopping to be precise! A certain someone who we will not mention dropped my bike which had my phone in the holder. The fall to the concrete broke the old iPhone front. I was planning on getting a new one sooner or later but sooner came before later! We also went over to marshal's to spend my birthday gift card and i scored a hammock. Seriously i was just looking up online to see how much they were and i got this one for 20 bucks minus the stand. But that was ok it was going to hang in my porch. While I was at the dentist grandma took the kids to the library and just happened to be the day TC Bear was there.
Tuesday the girls got picked up by our friend and they all went to the YMCA to go swimming. Bella passed her swim test for swimming in the deep pool. I was so proud of her!!! She tried a couple of day prior and almost passed. But a little more practice did her good! It's something she has wanted for awhile! While the girls were away i went over to a friends house and helped her deep clean her house for putting there place on the market. I was there till at least 11pm.
Wednesday the girls went to the old log theatre to see a play with the school. Kate was so excited, she even made me call the school because she feared her permission slip didn't get turned in and she would not be able to go. Of course it was and she was able to go but she was very concerned. That's my kate! That night after dinner we drove down to dinky town to walk around the u of m campus and stopped at the art center.
Thursday was hang out day, we went to the y for kid fitness after school and brought the neighbor girl and then came home and played around the yard. I enjoy these days once in awhile. I did have to run a errand after the y and of course i got suckered into cherry berry. They also received there dresses from AZ grandma and were excited to wear them right away!
Friday morning we went to the doctor for our first round of allergy shots for Bella and I. We get there and put us in the room and i think they forgot about us. 15 min. passed and then in walked the doctor and he asked me how the shots went and i looked puzzled! Nope haven't had them yet! So then the nurse came in to give us the shots and said we had to wait 30 min. to see if we have a reaction. Seriously 30 min. in a tiny room with three kids? Well by the time 30 min. were up the floor was covered in animal cracker crumbs thanks to henry spilling the whole bag and dancing over them. A good couple of feet of the paper was pulled from the table, the X-ray box was unplugged, and the computer was beeping from something henry was typing on the computer. I am sorry we don't do good in small rooms for long periods of time! I don't think they want us back!!!! But that after was a big day for scott and I, all three of my kids were going to be spending the day at Grandma and Granpa's house ALL weekend. They have never tackled henry over night before! I got all the stuff i think they needed packed and ready to go for when grandpa came to pick them up. but plans changed and we ended up having grandma and her friend join us for dinner before they all headed north. By 7 pm Scott and I were all by ourselves.... We went to the movie, out for dessert and drinks and didn't get home till 11:30.... Wow that's late because with kids you tend to go to bed early because you never know what tomorrow has in store for you!
Saturday i enjoyed watching netflix and eating my breakfast in my hammock in the porch while scott snoozed in for awhile. Then we loaded up our bikes in the truck and headed to edina. There was a store i have been wanting to go to and this was going to be the day. The store is called Hunt & Gather and seriously i could have spent my whole saving and my day shopping there. We are so going back, and i am so glad i never went there with the kids. Scott barely made it through without breaking something. Then we met up with a person off craigslist to buy a bike... I know what your thinking and i am think the same thing.... My husband has a problem! By that time it was lunch so we ended up at the cheesecake factory. We have never been there! Delish- and i didn't even get the cheesecake. I had that for dessert the night before . We went to one more cute antique-y store and then went to the Volkswagen dealer. We have always wanted to test drive a new bug... And since it only seats 4 it never happened. But scott was in heaven because the moment we drove into the lot he saw a new bug that looked like herbie. Of course he had to drive that one! We walked in and said we want a test drive and the sales lady and us all took of for a little spin. It was awesome because that lady was so down to earth and easy to talk to. We had a lot in common. Like our kid were almost all the same ages and we talked about school and were we lived, and even plumbing! Then scott had to know what the payments would be if we did buy it! She ran the numbers and i shot him a look like we are not having a new car and a payment! After a few photo shoots with the car we were on our way! I had to serve at church and then we went out for a long bike ride. I have to say it was a very scary ride, nature was attacking me! First it was this bird that kept trying to fly under my tire so i stopped and then scott ran into me with his bike and went over the handle bars. Giggle - he should not have been riding that close! Then a dear jumped out in front of me, swarmed by a group of nasty nats, and finished off by seeing a giant rat outside a restaurant. I mean GIANT. scott was grossed out by it too!

Sunday we decided was a lay back day we did so much in such a short time that was slow down day. We had to go get a patch for his car because he got a flat yesterday and while they were doing that we walked to target to kill time. We bbqed up some burgers and then Scott and his friend went to wisconsin to do a training for a mens weekend he is serving at. So it was just me home by myself till the kids returned. I did a little gardening and cooked a meal for a sick friend and dropped that off and relaxed in my hammock and then the kids came home. They had a great weekend and we had a great weekend it was a all over awesome week. I'm glad to have them back because we didn't cook at all this weekend and i gained a few pounds. I need my kids to keep me i shape!
I so look forward to your post each week, it makes me feel not so far away.
