Bella's Lip Update
It's been 15 days since little miss Bella took her fall and put her tooth through her lip. It healed up so i schedule her to see the dentist about getting her chipped tooth looked at. While there she noticed that her lip was hard where she bit through it. They took some X-rays to make sure there was nothing in it! Well lucky her she did have something show up on the x ray and so she was going to talk with the other dentist to come up with the next plan. We also had to schedule her for a filling on the bottom of her tooth to make her front tooth look nice and even again. By that afternoon they called up us back and told me that they scheduled us for a appointment with the oral surgeon to have him look at her and see what her options were. By this time i was freaking out a bit, you don't ever want to see her kids have to go through anything like that. She already has been in pain while she was healing from the fall to begin with.
So I called Grandma to see if she could come watch the other kids while i took her to her very early appointment. Lucky for us she even came the night before! Best Grandma ever!!!!! They squeezed us in at 8:30 in the morning to have him look at her. Super nice guy, which is always a plus. He felt around her lip and thought it was scar tissue that was causing the hardness but then he did a x ray and sure enough it was something. He is guessing it is gravel from when she hit the rock. He also was concerned about where the bite marks where on her lip. She bit right on the red white line and that is a really hard spot to go in an fix without leaving a big after mark. So he suggested we massage the lip where she bit through all the time for the next month. Come back in he look at it again. He said she can be fine with leaving the debris in as long as it doesn't get infected. He said people have be be gun bullets in there bodies and it just fine to leave them in.
So that is where we are at on that and just pray it doesn't get infected because if it does then we have no choice but to do surgery. I just worry about the cosmetic stuff because she is a girl and were prone to have a very self conscious outlook on our bodies to begin with already. I just want to make the best decision and not have her hate me for what i did to her when she is older.
