Friday after work we made our way up to Mora and spend the night at Anna & Tim's house. We came arms filled with overnite bags and couple sacks filled with apples. I was on a mission to make homemade from scratch caramel apples. So i found a couple of recipes and last minute i changed to go with the Martha Stewart recipe, she is the queen of perfect. So Anna and I started making the sugar and water on the stove waiting for the mixture to turn brown and we waited and waited and waited, NOTHING! Twenty some odd minutes have passed and we saw no change. So a trip to corborns to get supplies for my original recipe. And no problem at all the caramel was made and it was perfect, so perfect we were like little kids sitting around the pot of caramel dippin' and having a great time. Then Scott and his love of sprinkles were a tad bit scary! You dont even want to know what he did to the poor carmal apple, i think the sprinkles took on there own zip code. I think a intervention should've taken place. Off to bed for a early 5k Community walk for the hospital. Sherri signed us all up to participate in it. It was a lot of fun, and little bit cold which only makes you walk faster :) After we finished that the whole Haggenmiller clan made our way to the Sticks and Stones art festival. By the time we left there it was time to go to kids Kingdom to see all the family for mom and dad's last gathering before the make there way with the snow birds to Arizona. The kids love that park and especially when they get to play with all the cousins. It's nice to see the family we don't get to see everyone that often. By the time we left there we went over to Ryan and Erinn's house to visit with mom and dad, we ended up staying for a campfire and ordering pizza for supper. Talk about a day of being outside since 7:00 in the morning. I was so cold and tired, bed was calling my name. To bad Sunday couldn't be a pj day! When is there going to be slow days to be able to relax and enjoy peace and quiet? Well at least we spent our crazy busy weekend with family!
