Cruiser
We had a busy busy past weekend. It wasn't planned but that is always how it ends up! Scott's work has been offering them a chance to work overtime on Saturdays, which is nice but i prefer him to be home with the family instead. He decided to go in at 6 and work till 9 when the family is just getting up. Well that morning we had a really good rain storm, and on the way into St. Louis Park he became apart of a flash flood. His car ended up floating in the middle of the road. He was waist deep in water and turned out to ruin his car. Granted it wasn't a Cadillac but it got him to work each day. After a few hours later he was able to push his car out by himself and got it run. He actually drove that car home which is a good 20 something minutes. It sounded awful when he pulled in the drive way. It has a good 6 inches or more sitting on the floor of the car, and he said every part under the hood had water in it.
So there began the hunt for a replacement. The funny thing was we were already car shopping the last 2 weeks. We were seeing what was out there that would work with our family. The plan was to replace the van. It's not working for us! We have 2 captain chairs in the middle and a bench in the back. I don't have room to haul anything because i cant lay down the back row of seats and the stroller + groceries or anything doesn't fit. I have to shove things under the kids feet and what not! But we have been loan free for the last year or so and enjoy it. So now the car that we didn't plan to replace is gone it throws our plan out the window. We either choose a cheap car for Scott to drive and use our savings for it, or take out a loan and buy the truck we were planning on getting and have Scott drive the van. Well after many trips to lots and and looking at cars off craigslist, Scott found the car he had to get no butts about it. Honestly I wasn't thrilled, it was my turn to get a car. He has had 3 cars in the time of me getting stuck with this van. So i told him he better buy me the whatever i want when it's time! And I meant it! :) But we paid cash and now he has time to save up more and get a nicer vehicle for me!
Do you want to see what He picked!
It's a 2002 Pt Cruiser... Stick shift with flames..... And yes those are running boards! No comment we laugh about it too.. It fits the family but we have to buckle the girls because they cant get to there seat belt buckles with Henry in the middle. But surprisingly it is comfy inside.
