Allergies Are No Fun

My poor sweet Kate had to go see the allergy specialist today.  She has been having trouble with allergies,  fluid behind her ear, and large anoids.  First he wanted Kate to change her diet for a month to see if that helps.  Dairy, soda, juice are restricted because they cause your body to produce more mucus.  Who knew? And he thinks by changing her diet for the month should help her a lot with her allergies.  He also did allergy testing.  I remember having this done as a kid and i remember it was not fun.  She agreed! She kept asking to go home.  It's hard when your kids are in pain, while the dr.'s are trying to figure out what's gone on with them.  But she did so good, it helped that i had my phone to watch elmo video's off you tube while we waited the 15 min. to see what she had a reaction with.  She has 2 allergies~ dust, and birch something. The birch one he said is nothing.  She probably will still have to get her tonsil taken care of in the next year.  But for now she is on allergy meds, nasal spray and diet restrictions.  Cant wait for tomorrow and the changes that are going to be happening for her.  I hope she enjoys a month of no dairy! Well, im off to the store to stock up on soy products!
