winterizing

Seriously it is one season i don't enjoy doing. Well we made the trip to Menard's to get the plastic for the windows, end up getting the $18.00 XL big window kit and two small kids for standard windows. The two standard kits were the cheaper of the choices but not the cheapest and they have gave me nothing but trouble they came off after you already shrunk them and you can hearing popping from the window minutes later. The big window kit was awesome it did the large window in our family room and three other windows. I'm having a cool down from doing the cheap plastic kits before someone gets hurt. We just may be makin' a trip to Menard's to get expensive kit. I really thought i wouldn't be doing this anymore after our last house. That place leaked so much heat every winter we kept the gas co. in business. But this house turns out to be a bit drafty and so i just needs to be done to save us from whipping money out of the house. Don't worry i put replacing windows on the list for improvements, and every winter it makes it one more up on the list. Maybe my crabby attitude has to do with there is no coffee in the house this morning and i just need to go and fix this problem.
