Book Worm
I have been in the mood for reading lately! That seems to go in spurts... But that's ok, i don't have time to have my nose in a book everyday! I just read Amy & Rogers epic detour. I have had this book on my amazon wish list for awhile, and it was available at the library the last time i was there so i borrowed it. I picked the book up last night at 7 and read for a few hours and read today during Kate's quiet time and little after supper and low in behold i finished a 340 some page book. I love when a book sucks you in and all you want to do is keep reading. It's a great book i recommend it.
For some reason this book is hard to sum up! It's about a girl named Amy who was left home alone to finish up her junior year of school, while her mom left to go set up there new home in Connecticut. Amy's mother set up this road trip to move her out to Connecticut. And she got her friends son, Roger to drive her. Amy's mom planned there attire route including motels they are staying at, and the time they should be arriving at each place, but they had there own road trip planned that was way different! And it's about there journey and the places they want to stop along the way. And on this adventure she is faced to deal with the death of her father and how her life has changed the last few months. Along the way they both grow and face the stuff that has troubled them. I dont want to give away the book! It also has fun illustrations, receipts from stuff they got, and places they seen along the way.
Anybody ready any good books you want to suggest?
