Kate Home Sick
Kate has been home sick from school since Monday. She stayed home the first day because she said her throat hurt and had a plugged up nose. The second day she woke up and claimed her ears hurt and throat still hurt and her nose would not stop running. As the morning went on she said her ears hurt more often, so i called the Doctors office. We had to wait for 45 min. to get in and she just cried and cried. I felt so helpless for her. Poor lil lady, she was in so much pain. We it turned out she had strep throat and a ear infection. She is the first kid to come down with a ear infection. I was not surprised with that, she has the most issues with ears nose and throat issues so far. We stopped by the pharmacy/ treat store on the way out of the clinic to get a big popsicle to enjoy till her meds get filled.
She went home and took her meds and went to bed for a long nap. Luckily she was feeling a little better when she woke up.
She stayed home again today due to being still contagious. I was nervous when she woke that she would be in a cranky mood since she was late on her antibiotics. They were suppose to be taken at 1 am.! but lucky me she woke up in a happy mood.
We spent the afternoon playing, because she feel asleep at 8 am and didn't wake up till a quarter to 12. She is realizing it not fun to play with her toys on the floor anymore. Henry wants to join her fun too! He discovered how much fun the doll house is, and then wanted to join in on Kate's angry bird game that she was playing.
I think she is ready to get back to school tomorrow if everything goes ok the rest of the night. I am also excited to get back to my normal routine too. Yesterday was a extreme exhausting day. Henry has not been sleeping good at all the last week. And he also was not being patient while i was taking care of kate. Plus he refused most of his naps! I had to escape the house for a hour last night before i went crazy i thought! I took bella with me to get some groceries and buy some new gym shoes. It turned out she wanted to be a super chatty lady and ask for everything under the sun that night too! Kids ~you just got to laugh at the craziness! So glad today was a improvement.
