Team World Vision Kids
My kids have been wanting to help dad raise money for Team World Vision. Dad is running the full marathon this October with TWV and he has a goal of 3,000.... They wanted to do something to help him so they decided a lemonade stand was perfect. They love doing these stand every year but this year was different. They were not going to be spending there profits on themselves. I made a couple batches of cookies to sell along with there lemonade and grabbed a few bottled waters from the fridge as another option.
It was a hot humid day her in MN and they were sitting in direct sun all afternoon. I wished we had a patio umbrella to have them sit under but all i could do was hold a umbrella. We made a big sign with all there choices and put on TWV logos so they knew why we were selling it. After each sale Bella would tell them where there money was going for and how it was helping the kids get clean water. It made my heart melt watching her be so selfless. Bella was selling strong all day, the other two fell of the bandwagon fast but they popped in and out during the afternoon. Bella set a goal of $50.00 so one kid would get clean water for a lifetime. She sold hard and made $22.75 for the afternoon. She also got one of the neighbors to donate $50.00 on top of her cookie and lemonade. It was a total fun afternoon but we were exhausted from the heat and sun for sure.
I thought it would be a great night to take Bella out on her own special mommy daughter date. So i can tell her how proud i was of her and we could talk and catch up. I love these moments as a parent!!!! We stopped by chick fil a for a drink then went to hobby lobby because we are craft girls.
