Fun stuff is happening....

My house is a mess and it's only 10 am. it's feeling like a chill kind of day!  I have no plans and no crazy ambitions so far to do to much!  Yeah i'll call it mommy relax day... Is there such a day?  The lil man is sleeping again and Kate is watching some sesame street.  So i'll take a few minutes to let you know what we have been up to lately. Beware there is a lot of pictures!

Sunday we took the kids to the Mall of America.  Well the Nickelodeon Park so they can ride the rides.  They have been asking to go there a million times and we keep saying someday.  Well someday finally came!  We didn't tell them where they were going, and even when we arrived at the mall they were still clueless because the mall's outside has changed so much they didn't recognize it!  By the time we got to lego land they figured it out!  Bella and Kate are so different when it comes to ride choices. Bella is a thrill seeker, and Kate is a play it safe kind of girl when it comes to rides.  So dad took Bella to the rides she picked and watched her for the most part. He did go on the log chute and the Pepsi roller coaster.  I had Henry in the baby carrier and took Kate to the rides she picked. It's nice they are old enough to stand in the line by themselves and ride them by themselves too!  It was a long fun day and we even got to spend time with my cousin Sahara who works at the Bose store.  She got off work before we left the mall so we hung out and caught up on what's happening with each other.

Bella had her end of the school year play on Monday.  The play was called a Rumble in the Jungle and she was a gorilla. A darn cute one! I wish the play lasted more then 10 min. so short for all the work to get there on time. I don't know about you but the people that bring there ipads to school events to record there kids drive me crazy.  There huge and then they stand up in the front hold this device and nobody can see around them.  This has happened at kates graduation, Bella music concert and now her class play.  They should be banned to the back row with those things!  Ok that's the end of my rant!

Bella has been going to theater classes at the YMCA and she had a play on the last day of her class.  She was a spider in the itsy bitsy spider.  She seems to enjoy acting and singing...

The girls are going to there last day of swim lessons this Sunday.  We are going to take a break from swimming lessons for a bit.  they have been doing swimming lessons once a week for the last 4 months.  They have improved so much for never having a lesson so far.  Now we have to get dad in for swimming 101. That man needs to learn to swim too!  Maybe next time we sign the girls up he will be taking his own class.

Henry is sleeping pretty much through the night now.  He usually wakes around 3:30 and then every two hours after that. But on Wednesday night he slept till 5:00 am.  Yippie!  We also gave him a bottle for the first time Tuesday night. Well Scott tried to give him a bottle of pumped milk and the lil man refused it.  He would not have nothing to do with that bottle what so ever.  He was super bummed, because he waited so long to feed him.  I guess we will have to try a different kind of bottle and see if that changes his opinion. We also bought a bumbo chair for him to sit upright in and he really enjoys it.  He likes to be looking around an seeing what everyone else is doing.   Curious lil guy!

Lil man loves his blankie

The girls and I planted the garden in between the rain showers this week.  We planted carrots, beets, broccoli {Kate picked}, tomato, red and yellow peppers, jalapeno pepper {for salsa}, and cilantro.
We still need to buy basil, rosemary, onions, couple more tomato plants, and strawberries because most of mine didn't come back, and Scott needs to plant his potatoes in his barrel too! I was so glad my neighbor Dave walked by when i was getting my garden beds turned over and he offered his tiller for me to use.  It was super tiny one, but perfect for my garden boxes.  I had Henry in his stroller sleeping and i got my garden tilled in less then 20 min. That was awesome! Kate enjoyed looking at all the bugs with her magnifined glass. She is always on the hunt for clues!

I also shoveled and wheel barrowed 3 yards of dirt to my yard so i can lay some grass seed down.  It's so hard to grow grass in this sand filled yard. The first section of that we laid seed down, has really taken off. It does help that we have had rain every day. Which is so nice because i dont have to be out there watering everyday.

Thanks to my Great Grandma Caley's wheel barrow
