Christmas Is Coming
We bought a real chritmas tree this year. We finally tossed our fake christmas tree that we have had for 10 years. I was beyond sick of finding what light bulb was not working on our pre lite tree! So we bought our tree from Costco for 30.00 this year and we are more then pleased with it. I let the kids decorate the tree this year and boy did they do a good job. I am giving up control on making it look just so pretty and perfect and let them have the fun of making it there own. I put the lights on it and let them do the rest. Our star tree topper finally is being used. Our fake tree was to thick to hold it and we could never use it. The kids did that we never had a proper tree star, so they are more then tickled to have it on it this year.
We also got the outside lite up and decorate while the weather was nice after thanksgiving. That was a blessing to not freeze our butts of decorating. I told the kids a few years back that we can add one thing to decorate the yard for christmas each year and this year we have a snowflake projector. Our neighborhood gets into christmas decorating and lots of lights so they were not going let our yard be lame. Ha the things we do! I like turning down our road and see the bright lights at our house. Not going to lie it takes a lot of work to put them up and add cords to power each thing and set the timers but it's worth it in the end.
We also made a visit to Scott's union hall to visit Santa and get our face painted and see the elf that makes fun balloons. Henry and Kate participated but Ms. Bella was not having it and did not want to be there. She is such a teen already! Santa kept calling her smiley because that frown on her face was so happy! Ha ha

look at this house in our area. He puts it up and takes it down each year. He literally climbs his trees and wraps the tree in lights. It's crazy! And he switches the look each year he does it. Dang that's bright and awesome!

The kids have also made a paper chain for the christmas countdown, and Henry loves going outside in the snow to play with his trucks even though we dont have much snow yet.
He also request coco every time he comes back in. Ha love it!
