Pallet Headboard
So yesterday turned out to be pallet DIY day. I took a pallet that was about the same width of Bella's bed and turned it into a headboard for her. Lucky chica! I asked her what she wanted to write on there. And she picked her name. So i grabbed a piece of chalk and wrote on it to see what it would look like and if the spacing was good. Then gave her another decision. Would you like a flower or heart on it too? She picked the heart. Then gave her another choice. What color would like? She thought the bright blue would be beautiful and then i picked yellow for the heart, since i had a couple of cans of it. Such a nice mom letting her have choices to pick! So we painted it and took a lunch break for it to dry.
Then the Mr. was recruited to do some heavy lifting. Man those things are heavy. I guess they have to be to do there job. We brought it in the house to see how we were going to install it, and make sure it will be safe for her. After a couple of minutes of thinking i realized i can get rid of the weight of this pallet by removing some of the wood off the back and not ruing the front of the piece. So back outside we went and the Mr. got to use the crow bar and hammer. "i did mention this was a good work out for him" He does love a good work out!
Then back inside we went again. He grabs some wire and attached it to the assisting headboard, since it hold the bed rails on. And wa~da bing cuteness!
So search the craigslist free section for your pallet fun!
